Fredericksburg is home to some of the best museums in the nation, and all of them are kid friendly! While the Pioneer Museum has fun for even the littlest kiddos, some of the others are recommended for slightly older children.
Pioneer Museum - Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg, Texas is home to ten historic structures, staged to showcase different aspects of life in Gillespie County history. Enjoy hundreds of artifacts, as well as audio and virtual experiences connecting visitors to descendants of our original German settlers. Vereins Kirche Museum -Vereins Kirche Museum tells the story of the two Vereins Kirche buildings. The story begins with the first German settlers to Texas and continues to present-day Fredericksburg from the viewpoint of the Vereins Kirche.
The National Museum of the Pacific War - Immerse yourself in the recounting of history, a vast collection of artifacts, and the personal stories of real people who lived and died during the Pacific War.Here, you can find your connection to the lasting mark that the Allied victory in WWII left on our lives today and the beacon of hope it provides for the future. Recommended for slightly older children!
